About Dr. Stephanie
Client Words
The last two years I have been in sort of a deadlock – not just emotionally but also with my writing. I felt invisible and I knew I had to release negative stress. Since working with Stephanie I not only moved to a creative part of town – finished my book- “Mirror Mirror off the Wall” and took part in a reality show.
She opened a shut door in my life. I feel open to express what I kept hidden and I am very grateful to Stephanie. She made me understand what otherwise was hidden.
-Dianne Werne, Author
I have over sixteen years clinical training and experience working with a culturally diverse population of children, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples and families in a wide range of clinical settings from state psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities, homeless shelters, non-profit organizations, a regional center, in their homes, and private practice, as a clinician, clinical supervisor, case manager, psychological evaluator and program creator.
My clients sought treatment and coaching for a variety of presenting issues from short-term adjustment concerns to more long standing deep rooted issues to making healthy lifestyle changes.
My approach as a therapist and coach is integrative based on the individual needs of my clients and combines evidence-based appreciative inquiry, acceptance-based approaches (e.g. mindfulness), cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, motivational interviewing, relational, solution-focused and transpersonal approaches.
